So the open hours to go there are 9 - 12 am, and it is a 550 km drive, so how do you do this???? Of course I had to take a day off, leaver after work at 3 pm drive 550 km, stay in a Hotel, get my passport photos taken in Edmonton in a place recommended from the Consulate, go to the Consulate and drive back 550 km. The place I stayed over night was a crappy Hotel in Leduc, that's very close to Edmonton.
Catherine is here - Lettie's sister came for Mom's Birthday. She stayed a week and helped Lettie with organizing Mom's Party where she had some of her friends coming. Lettie made a quiz where Mom and her friends had to answer questions about movie/music and politics from the last 80 years.
Mom's Birthday - Lettie made a trivial question game for Mom's Birthday Party. We also went over to her house a couple days before to have dinner with my lovely in-laws.

Skiing with Nicole - I took Nicole again for skiing, she skies beside me on my hand and sometimes between my legs but at the end of the hill I let her sometimes go by herself and she is not falling and skies 20 - 30 meters totally alone. Of course sometimes she decides to stop on the ski-hill, letting her fall and play with the snow......kids!!......she likes it and we have to keep it fun for her and I have to work on it that she skies more and more without any assistance.
Dinner at Koko and Rainer - our German friends invited us for dinner, so we went over to Nobelford to enjoy a good conversation food and drink. Nicole and Lettie love Sammy, their huge Saint Bernard.
"Babygroup Party" - The kids from Nicole former baby group celebrated their birthdays as they are all born in the same time of the year. So we went to the YMCA and he kids could enjoy the big jump-castle and had cake and snacks presents later. Nicole got a PJ from another kid which she loooves, she wears the PJ as often as possible.
Curling Wolrd Championship Lethbridge - The Women Curling World Championship has been in Lethbridge. Lettie got free Tickets so we could see the event for one night and also had Tickets for the Sponsors lounge and free drinks ( Yippee). On the last weekend of this tournament Nicole and I went over to get autographs, and so it came that I could place Nicole between the German Team and get a photo and Autographs as well on a flag I just bought.
German visitor - Phillipe who visited us at the beginning of February with his friend Julian is back, He stays with us another couple days. He just came from a Farm in Manitoba where he worked for 3 weeks (room and food). Nicole is always asking where is our German friend where is Phillipe.
Ich musste nach Edmonto meinen Deutschen Reisepass erneuern. Man muss da in Person erscheinen, schon an sich eine Zumutung so lange zu fahren da es schliesslich 550 km sind (ein Weg). Aber das beste sind die Oeffnungszeiten, Di- Do 9 -12 Uhr...... wer bitte soll das schaffen. Also um 15 Uhr nach der Arbeit los und um 20.30 muede in ein Hotel bei Edmonton ankommen. Den naechsten Tag musste ich natuerlich Urlaub nehmen (und das wo ich ja so wenig Urlaub habe). Dann zu einem Photoladen der spezialisiert ist Photos zu machen fuer den Deutschen Reisepass. Dann gegen Mittag ins Konsulat und danach wieder 550 km bis nach Hause fahren.
Meine Schwaegerin Catherine war wieder hier, sie kam in der Woche in der meine Schwiegermutter ihren Geburtstag hatte. Lettie und Catherine haben eine Party organisiert fuer Mom und ihre Freundinnen. Es gab live Musik (Kammermusik gespielt von 2 von Letties' Kolleginnen), ein Quiz und Preise und natuerlich Kuchen von Crazy Cake. Lettie hat ein Quiz gemacht wo die "aelteren" Damen (80 - 90 Jahre) fragen zu Musik/Politik und Film aus den letzten 80 Jahren beantworten mussten.

Nicole und ich waren noch einmal Ski fahren. Sie hat Spass daran aber typisch 3 jaehrige moechte sie mitten auf der Skipiste pause machen und mit dem Schnee spielen :-). Ich habe sie auch etwas allein fahren lassen, am unteren Hang der Piste.
Wir waren eingeladen bei unseren Freunden Koko und Rainer zum Abendessen. Die beiden haben einen Bernhardiner, ein riesen Tier aber sehr sanft muetig, Nicole hatte ihren Spass mit ihm.
Die "Babygruppe" hatte ihre Party. Nachdem Nicole geboren war hat Lettie eine Gruppe von Frauen besucht deren Babys auch zur gleichen Zeit geboren waren. Diese Gruppe feiert nun jedes Jahr im Maerz eine Party, da alle Kinder im gleichen Zeitraum geboren sind. Wir waren im "Y".... YMCA, dort gab es eine Huepfburg und anschliessend Kuchen und Geschenke. Jedes Kind sollte ein Geschenk kaufen fuer ein anderes Kind.
Die Curling WM der Frauen war in Lethbridge, Lettie hatte Freikarten und auch Tickest für die Sponsor Lounge (Essen und ein Getränk frei). Nicole und ich waren dann noch einmal die Woche drauf da als die Team Autogramme gegeben haben. Ich konnte Nicole mit dem Deutschen Team Photographieren und das Team hat unsere kleine Deutsche Fahne signiert.
Philippe ( er war schon einmal mit seinem Freund Julian Ende Januar bei uns) kam noch einmal für ein paar Tage vorbei. Er war für 3 Wochen auf einer Farm in Manitoba, Arbeit für Kost und Unterkunft. Wir haben ihm noch einmal ein paar schöne Ecken gezeigt und Nicole war ganz traurig als er wieder weiter musste.
