Merry Christmas to all of you - another year is over and so many things happened.
We traveled to Europe - Erica finished elementary school - Nicole talks talks talks and is done with diapers - we had a great summer in our backyard - we had visitors from Japan - we got new cars - we are all healthy and looking forward to 2011

Frohe Weihnachten an alle - ein weiteres gutes Jahr ist bald vorbei. Wir waren in Europa - Erica geht nun auf die Mittelschule - Nicole spricht schon recht gut und braucht keine Windeln mehr - Wir hatten einen schoenen Sommer in unserem Garten - wir haben 2 neue Autos - und Besucher aus Japan.

Day off for American thanks giving - Because we serve the American market I have the American Holidays, so I had a day off on Nov. 25th. (Thanks giving) and only a half day on the 26th. (black Friday). So I had a nice long weekend, Eric a had the 25th. and 26th. of as well and she had her friend Brooklyn over.

Visitors from Japan - We had visitors from Japan over Yoshimi and her husband arrived on a Saturday and left the next Tuesday. Lettie went with them to Waterton for a day and than the next day to Banff, where they (Erica went to) stayed at the Ramada in Canmore. The had all fun in the Hot Pool and the Banff Springs where the went to the Bar/Restaurant for a drink. On December 7th. Lettie dropped them off at the Airport in Calgary on the way back from Banff - they are going to California to Disneyland for a couple days now before they go back to Japan.

Erica had her big day on stage where she (and other people from her voice class) sang some songs. She did well and got a big applause.

I had more than week off before Christmas so I took the chance to go to our cottage with Nicole. The Saturday we went skiing in Blairmore on the bunny hill. She had fun and did very well. The next day we went to Castle Mtn. where we skied together in the morning - we used for the first time a ski lift, in the afternoon she went to the daycare and I could do some runs by myself. We had a great day.

Trip to the Edelweiss Store - Ich war mal wieder in meinem Lieblingsladen in Calgary. Dieses mal war auch Lettie mit. Wir hatten ein typisches Deutsches Essen, Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut und Rothkohl

Besuch aus Japan - Lettie hatte vor 8 Jahren eine Japanische Studentin mit ihr leben und diese kam nun mit ihrem Mann zu ihren Fliterwochen nach Canada und Californien. Die beiden blieben vom Samstag bis Dienstag bei uns und waren dann bis Freitag in Diseneyland (Japaner bekommen halt nicht viel urlaub). Lettie hatte den beiden Waterton und Banff gezeigt (wo sie dann auch ueber Nacht blieb).

Mom and Dad over for Dinner - Als wir unsere Gaeste aus Japan hatten kamen auch Mom and Dad rueber zum Abendessen. Wir hatten einen netten Abend zusmammen und Mom spielte sogar am Piano fuer uns.

Booked House for my friends in February 2011 - Da ich nicht weiss ob wir unsere Ferienhaus frei haben, hatte ich Vorsorglich ein anderes Ferienhaus gebucht wenn mein Freund Lars und sein neffe Sven zu besuch kommen. Die beiden werden 3 Wochen in Kanada zum Ski fahren sein und ich werde die beiden vom 3.2.11 bis 9.2.11 sehen. Wir werden dann zusammen im Ferienhaus sein.

Erica hatte ihren grossen Tag auf der Buehne. Sie hat Gesangsunterricht und einmal im Jahr hat die Klasse einen Auftritt auf der Buehne. Sie hatte ein Solo und zwei Auftritte mit der Klasse.

Die Woche vor Weihnachten hatte ich frei, Nicole und ich sind dann den Freitag schon in unser Ferienhaus gefahren. Den Samstag sind wir dann in Blairmore Ski fahren gegangen. Auf dem Anfaenger Huegel sind wir Vormittags eine Stunde und nochmals Nachmittags fuer eine Stunde (nach einem zweistuendigen Mittagsschlaf) Ski gefahren. Nicole hatte viel Spass und das ist ja das wichtigste. Am naechsten Die Woche vor Weihnachten hatte ich frei, Nicole und ich sind dann den Freitag schon in unser Ferienhaus gefahren. Vormittags bin ich mit ihr gefaren Nachmittags war sie in dem Kindergarten und ich bin alleine gefahen, wir hatten einen klasse Tag.

Halloween - Nicole had her best day of the year, tons of Candy and chocolate and I think that's the favorite day of her whole life. She was tired at one point and said she wants to go night night, but when we told her that she is getting more Candy she was looking very surprised and saying "more???". Nicole was Winny the Pooh dressed as a Bee, and Erica was a Witch.

We went to the "Kaffeeklatsch" at the German Canadian Club, to see our friends Andre and Doris and their kids. We had Coffee and Cake and Nicole was running around with other small "German" kids.

Erica is 2 weeks in Costa Rica, but we talked to her via facebook.........these modern times.

My friend Peter had his first welcome Party in his new house. We went there with the kids and had some Pizza. Peter bought this nice older house on 6 street, close by scenic drive.

Nicole is now without diapers during the day and it works well. She is getting it and quit proud to wear kids underwear. She is talking so much now, mostly english but also something in German.
She can say for example:

Blizzard - the first of the season, we got it all, lot's of snow temperatures to minus 26 and wind and ice.

I got Tickets to watch a hockey game, so I took my Co-worker Mitchel to the game between the Lethbidge Hurricanes and the Medician hat tigers, Lethbridge won 4:2.

Lettie and I went on a date to Mojos, a Pub on the westside while Erica watched Nicole, it is so importand to have these dates.

Lettie and I met Rainer and Cordula a German couple which lives here in Canada for 3 years, they are coming from my old hometown Wuppertal where they lived for 18 years before the came to Canada, it's a small world.

Halloween - Nicole hatte die beste Zeit ihres Lebens wenn sie Tonnenweise Suessigkeiten bekam. Sie sagte das sie muede sei, als wir ihr dann aber sagten das es ja doch noch mehr Suessigkeiten geben wuerde schaute sie uns mit grossen Augen an und sagte Ueberrascht "nooooch meeeehr!".
Nicole war als Winny the Pooh verkleidet der als Biene verkleidet war......ich weiss hoert sich kompliziert an (siehe Photos).

Kaffeeklatsch - wir waren mal wieder im Deutsch Kanadischen Klub zum Kaffeeklatsch, bei Kaffee und Kuchen haben wir auch unsere Freunde Andre und Doris mit ihren Kindern wiedergesehen. Nicole hatte Spass mit den anderen Kindern im Klub herum zu rennen.

Nicole veraendert sich so schnell, Sie sagt auf einmal Woerter die sie vorher nicht kannte - ganze Saetze sagt sie auf einmal. Immer noch mehr in englisch aber auch einige Deutsche Woerter. Sie liebt es zu tanzen und ist da auch ganz kreativ.

Erica hat ihr Zwischenzeugniss fuer die 6. Klasse bekommen und sie hat als Durchschnitt 92,5 % von moeglichen 100 %.

Und dann ist der Winter hier mit 25 cm Neuschnee und Temperaturen bis minus 25 Grad, der erste Wintersturm der Saison.

Ich hatte Karten fürs Hockey Spiel zwischen Lethbridge Huricanes und den Medicine Tigers gewonnen, zu dem ich meinen Arbeitskollegen Mitchel mitnahm, die Hurricanes haben 4:2 gewonnen.

Lettie und ich haben Rainer und Cordula kennen gelernt, ein Paar (etwas älter als wir) welches 18 Jahre in Wuppertal gelebt hat. Sie hatte bei der Würtemberger Versicherung in einem Büro in Ronsdorf gearbeitet. Die beiden werden evtl. nach Lethbridge ziehen! Wie klein doch die Welt ist.
