We had our monthly come together at the Mojos Pub (German friends of us). We had two new visitors, Hubert who is also a member of the hiking Club, he came to Canada in 1989. And Falko who is a German teacher at the University here in Lethbridge, he is here for one year (May to May) and comes from an area south of Hamburg.
Lettie enjoyed her day off and Erica's and Nicole's friends over for playing. Nicole was hopping that her little friend from the day-home would come too, but she didn't. Nicole said very excited "I want to show her my room".
Hiking with the COC, I was the hike coordinator and I choose to hike to Bertha Lake. On a cool Sunday morning we hiked in Waterton (Oct. 16). After some overcast the sun came out and even if the weather was cool, with the sun it was a great day to hike. I hiked the first time around the lake, the 2 times before we stoped at the lake when you come up the hill from Waterton. The Hike was maybe round about 16km return.We had sun and fresh snow and long icicles, the hike around the lake was very nice and of course we ended the hike with a drink at the K2 in Waterton.
I went with Nicole to the Flu Clinic 10/19/2011, I thought I do not tell her that she is getting a needle. She was kind of surprised when she realized what was going on................man was she mad.The whole afternoon she told me, with a very saaaaaaaaaad look "Daddy I can not walk, I got a needle - can you get me and carry me" (She got the needle in her arm!)
She even phoned her sister (I dialed the #) to tell her "I got a needle, I cried". I am sure she will tell the whole day-home today that she got a needle yesterday.
We had a kids Halloween Party at the office, Erica and Nicole had some fun with trick or treating in the office and enjoyed the cake the got.
Das Erntedankfest ist ja hier ein Feiertag, allerdings habe ich nicht am gleichen Tag frei wieLettie da ich den US Amerikanischen Feiertag habe der im November ist. Meine Schwiegereltern kamen den Sonntag zum Truthan essen, Lettie hat sich selber uebertrumpft beim kochen.
Mit dem Wanderclub war ich in Waterton wandern zum Bertha Lake. Die Wanderung brachte uns hoch zu diesem schoenen See der umringt ist von hohen Bergen. Bei kuehlen Tempraturen, aber Sonne die etwas gewaermt hat, haben wir den See umrundet. An einigen Stellen war dickes Eis an den Felswaenden. Ich habe die Wanderung organisiert und habe spaeter bei eine Runde Bier in Waterton nur Lob gehoert fuer diese schoene Tageswanderung.
Lettie und die Kinder hatten einen Feiertag, leider musste ich ja arbeiten. Aber die Kinder hatten Freunde zum spielen bei uns. Leider konnte Nicole's Freundin von der Tagesmutter nicht kommen, Nicole sagte traurig"Ich wollte ihr doch mein Zimmer zeigen".
Nicole und ich sind zur grippe Impfung gegangen, ich habe Nicole gesagt das ich zum Dr. muesse und es verschwiegen das auch sie eine Spritze bekommt. Als sie dann auf meinem Schoss sass und die Spritze sah wusste sie was los ist. Aber ich dachte es waere besser ihr es nicht von Anfangan zu sagen, aber wow war sie sauer nach der Spritze :-) Danach musste ich mir lange anhoeren "Papa kannst du mich tragen,ich habe eine Spritze bekommen und kann nicht laufen" Die Spritze war im Arm! :-))
Bei mir im Büro gab es eine Kinder Halloween Party mit Süßigkeiten und Kuchen, da hatten Nicole und Erica natürlich viel Spaß.
