The long weekend - Lettie had July 1st of while I had July 4th off (I have the Americans holidays) Lettie Nicole Erica and Kennedy went to Caloway Park by Calgary on the 1st. It is a big fair by Calgary. The kids had a great day and came back late that day.
I tried to go with Nicole on my day off to Calgary Zoo, but she was sick in the morning so we had to cancel this, but we still had a great day together at Park lake, where Nicole called a little Girl her age "hey Lady hey Lady"........so funny

The Zoo - We went all to the Zoo a week later. Erica was in Calgary to see Prince William and Kate, so she was dropped off at IKEA where we had lunch together before we went to the Zoo. Nicole realy liked the Elephants and the Gorillas and Zebras. We had a great day at the Zoo and ended the day with a nice dinner in Calgary.

The Hike - with the COC I hiked at East Glacier, up to scienic point and further up to Bison Mountain. The hike up to scienic hike was great, we saw some animals and it would have been still a great hike, but we decided to go up to Bison Mtn. which was tough but great once I reached the top. The way down Gerald and I hiked a short cut which saved us at least 45 minutes.

Catherine is back for a four week visit with Mom and Dad, we are all looking forward to have some fun time with her. or Dad's birthday we came togehter at my in-laws house to celebrate.

The week off - Nicole and I stayed home while Erica and Lettie went to church Camp in Waterton. Nicole and I did some fun stuff, we went to the Pool in Raymond which is very nice. And the day later we stopped by Koko and her Mom to see how they are doi ng and we stopped later at Park-lake to built Castles in the Sand and anjoy the sun and the Playground. Nicole had just a good time. Than our big trip for 3 days to Montana USA - Nicole and I stayed in the Travelers Rest Lodge in East Glacier, we had a nice Cabin with a kitchen and fireplace. In these 3 days we checked out the East Glacier Lodge and the Park at East Glacier, we hiked to the Twin Falls. And we drove up Logans Pass where still was a ton of snow from last Winter. Nicole also was part of an art project where kids draw a picture which will be hanged up at the Glacier Information Center. On the last day we checked out Many Glacier and the old big Hotel at the Lake there. Nicole had a great time with me in the mountains.

Erica and lettie stayed the same week at CCC, Christian Church Camp. Erica hiked there to Wall Lake, which was too long for the kids, especially in the Rain! But the both had a great time, f.e. in the Canyon where the slide down a Waterfall, or beeing by the Campfire with the others.

Airshow in Lethbridge - as every year we had the Airshow in Lethbridge. I went to the Aiport for 2 hours and sat in the shade to watch some of these big Jets flying very low very close.

While Lettie for weekend in Calgary stayed to visit a Girlfriend, I and the kids drove to Waterton. We had to drop off Erica at CCC (Canyon Church Camp) and used the day to hike on to bears hump, visited the playground downtown and had a drink at the Prince of Wales, the day was just perfect sunny sommer day.

Da Lettie und ich nie die gleichen Feiertage haben (Sie hat natuerlich die Kanadischen waehrend ich die US Feiertage habe) hat sie am 1 July die Kinder mit zu einem Vergnuegungspark nach Calgary genommen und ich wollte eigentlich mit Nicole (Erica hatte Schule) zum Zoo nach Calgary, leider war die kleine Maus etwas krank, aber immerhin konnten wir spaeter zu einem Badestrand.

Eine Woche sind wir dann doch alle zum Zoo gekommen. Auf den Weg dorthin haben wir bei IKEA das guenstige Mittagsessen genossen. Nicole mochte besonders die Elefanten die Zebras und Gorillas. Wir hatten einen schoenen Tag im Zoo den wir spaeter in einem Restaurant in Calgary abgerundet haben.

Mit dem Klub bin ich dieses mal in East Glacier Montana USA wandern gewesen. Die Wanderung brachte uns ueber den scenic point zum Bison Mountain ( 2385 m.) von wo man eine klasse uebersicht hatte ueber die Praerie zur einen und auf die Rockies zur anderen Seite. Die Wanderung war besonders zum Ende recht anspruchsvoll. Zurueck habe ich dann mit einem anderen Mitglied der Gruppe eine Abkuerzung ueber ein Gerollfeld genommen die mir ca. 45 Minuten Zeit gespart hat, die ich dann in der Sonne liegend verbringen konnte bis die anderen endlich kamen.

Eine Woche Urlaub, endlich mal eine Woche frei. Lettie und Erica waren im Ferienlager in den Bergen und da die Tagesmutter geschlosen hatte musste ich auch eine Woche frei nehmen. Also warum Zuhause bleiben, deshalb bin ich mit Nicole fuer drei Tage nach Montana East Glacier in die Travelers Rest Lodge gefahren. Wir hatten dort eine Blockhuette die echt klasse war. An ein paar Ausfluegen haben wir beiden die Berge und Seen und die alten grossen Hotels der Gegegend erkundet. Nicole und ich hatten eine tolle Zeit, sie mag die Berge wirklich. Wir sind auch hoch auf den Logans Pass gefahren wo noch sehr viel Schnee lag. Die ersten Tage meiner Woche Urlaub haben Nicole und ich an einem See oder in einem Freibad verbracht.

In Lethbridge war dann wie jedes Jahr wieder die Flugshow, die ich mir einmal für 2 Stunden am Flughafen angeschaut habe.

An einem Sonntag (als Lettie das Wochenende bei einer Freundin in Calgary zu besuch war) sind Nicole Erica und ich nach Waterton gefahren um Erica im Feriencamp abzuliefern. Wir hatten einen schönen Tag mit Wanderung zum Bearshump Aussichtspunkt, am Spielplatz in Waterton und im alten Prinz of Wales Hotel wo man einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge hat während man ein kühles Bier genießt (Wasser für die Kinder natürlich).

Und mit Catherine (Letties Schwester)die hier mal wieder zu besuch war (bei ihren Eltern) haben wir dann den Geburtstag meine Schwiegervaters gefeiert der 85 wurde.
