Easy bake oven from the 60s
On the first weekend in April we visited the James Stewart auction in Fort Macleod. Mr. Stewart was a Lethbridge citizen who collected everything until his 1000 square-foot house and property was so full with antiques that it took a company three months and 1000 truckloads to get it all to the auction site in Fort Macleod. At least Lettie profited from it as she got easy bake oven, which father wasn't willing to buy when she was a child. Nicole enjoyed to see all the old stuff, and it was a nice sunny day and the last weekend of Easter break 2016.
Am ersten April Wochenende haben Nicole und ich eine Auktion besucht. Ein älterer Herr der keine Familie hatte war gestorben und sein ganzes Anwesen war voll mit Antiken Sachen, von Spielsachen bis Autos. 1000 LKW Ladungen waren nötig um alles zur Auktion zu bringen. Lettie hat 2 alte Spielsachen aus ihrer Kindheit ersteigert und Nicole und ich haben es abgeholt. Für Nicole war es sehr interessant all die altenbSacheb zu sehen.
Erica has a great time in Spain, she is visiting different places like Madrid or the coast and is even going on a three day could hike. She is hiking with the other kids from Canada on very old pilgrimage way to Santiago de Compostela. She is making friends for a life time. She also visited the City of Saramanca and the old University which is teaching since the year 1100.
Erica hat eine Klasse Zeit in Spanien, sie hat Madrid besucht und war für 3 Tage wandern auf der "Camino" einem traditionellen Wanderweg. Diese 3 Tage waren so eindrucksvoll das sie gerne mehr dort wandern möchte. Sie hatte auch die Chance die alte Statdt und Universität von Salamanca zu besuchen.
Nicole got already a new bike prior to her birthday on April 21, which she really loves as it is a big kids bike. And the weather was so nice that she and a friend did some sun tanning on our front lawn.
Nicole hat ein neues Fahrrad bekommen, sie hat nun ihr erstes groß Kind Fahrrad mit Gangschaltung. Und wir hatten so schönes Wetter das sie Rad fahren und sogar schon Sonnenbaden konnte auf unserem Rasen vorm Haus.
Lettie and I went out for date night in a fancy restaurant. The plum is a restaurant downtown Lethbridge, we had great food and drinks and good conversation and entertainment. While we had a what date, Paula was watching Nicole.
Lettie und ich hatten eine Date Night in einem sehr guten Restaurant. Paula, eine Deutsche Austausschülerin und Freundin von Erica, hat auf Nicole aufgepasst. Der Abend war klasse und wir hatten ein super Menü, es ist wichtig diese Dates zu haben.
Nicole turned 8 and I surprised her by picking her up at school for lunch at IHOP. The party was a day later when she had 4 girls over and 3 stayed for a sleep over, craaaazy but fun. We had Amelie Avani Devon and Naiobi. They made their own Pizza and we had games a fire ( in the backyard ) and a night walk with glow sticks.
Nicole ist acht geworden, und an ihrem Geburtstag habe ich sie in der Schule zum Mittagessen abgeholt, wir sind dann in ihrer Lieblings Restaurant gegangen. Am nächsten Abend war ihre Party und sie hatte vier Freundinnen von denen drei bei uns übernachtet haben. Wir hatten Pizza Spiele im Garten und einen Film für unsere Kinder. Der Höhepunkt war eine Nacht Wanderung im Park mit Leuchtstäben.
On the last weekend in April we had any Nicole's teacher and her husband over for dinner, we made chilli dogs and I made actually my first potato salad. We also have Buddy's sister Sarah over for one week of dog sitting.
Am letzten Wochenende im April hatten wir Nicole's Lehrer und ihren Ehemann zum Abend essen, wir hatten heut Docks Chili und ich habe zum ersten Mal Kartoffelsalat gemacht. Außerdem haben wir die Schwester von unserem Hund für eine Woche bei uns.
