Nikolaus in der Mall und Deutschem Haus - Im Deutschen Klub kam wieder der Nikolaus fuer die Kinder, Nicole's Freund Myles kam auch mit seiner Mama Tara (eine Kollegin von Lettie), sowie unsere Freunde Bee und Matijas und deren 2 Kinder. Alle waren begeistert von dem Programm und die Kinder hatten eine tolle Zeit.

Deutsche Weihnachtslieder in der Lutheran Church - Wie jedes Jahr waren wir auch dieses mal beim Deutschen Weihnachtslied singen und dem anschliessenden Kaffee und Kuchen in der Lutherischen Kirche. Leider konnten nur Nicole und ich gehen da Lettie krank war, aber Peter und seine Jungs kamen.16 Lieder haben wir gesungen, all die Highlights wie Oh Tannenbaum oder Oh du selige.

Erica auf Buehne fuer Schul Auffuehrung - Erica hatte mit Ihrer Schule an 3 Abenden eine Schulaufuehrung, das Thema war "Rock-show", also Musik von ABBA bis Kiss, die Kinder machten die Musik tanzten und die show ging ueber eine Stunde lang. Erica hatte 3 Vorfuehrungen in der Woche plus 4 Vorfuehrungen in derselben Woche mit dem Ballett da sie auch da aktiv ist. Die Nusskracker Vorfuehrung fand in der Univeritaet statt, wie jedes Jahr.

Nicole Lettie und ich waren dann auch mal wieder krank, waehrend Nicole sich einen ganzen nachmittag nur uebergab hatten Lettie und ich mit eine Erkaeltung zu kaempfen.

Pajama Tag in der Vorschule und Spieldate in Universitaet -Nicole's Schule hatte einen Pijama Tag, ich finde solche Sachen immer klasse und denke es ist schade das wir das niemals hatten. Spaeter an dem gleichen Tag war Nicole mit ihrem Freund Myles fuer 3 Stunden in der Uni. Dort gabe es 3 Stunden entertainment fuer Kinder von 3-7 (auch wieder in PJ's), so das die Eltern Zeit hatten die letzten Geschenk einzukaufen oder einzupacken.

Ski fahren mit den Kids - Dezember 23 war mein erster Ski tag. Ich hatte die Kinder mit mir, Erica ging 2 x 2 Stunden in die Ski Schule. Eigentlich eine Gruppe, aber sie war die einzigste daher hatte sie 4 Privat Stunden fuer den Preis einer Gruppe (Gruppen tarif ist billiger). Nicole kam mit mir, wir haben zum ersten mal die Leine ausprobiert, und es klappte SUPER. Wir sind sehr oft auf dem Anfaenger Hang gewesen und einmal auf einem langen Hang von der Mitel Station, dass erstemal das Nicole auf einem "richtigen" run war und sie hat sich klasse geschlagen.

Weihnachten mit der Familie - Wir hatten Bescherung schon am 24., nornmalerweise ist es ja hier am 25. morgens, da wir aber wegen Erica planen muessen wann sie mit uns ist was es halt schon frueher. Nicole bekam u.a. eine Playmobile Villa, 23 Seiten Bauanleitung, aber es war ein Spass es zusammen zu bauen.
Am 24. waren wir bei meinen Schwiegeeletern und spaeter bei unsreren Freunden Andre und Doris zu einer Weihnachtsparty. Am 25. haben Lettie und Erica wie jeden ersten Weihnachtstag "essen auf Raedern" ausgeliefert. Das ist fuer beide schon eine feste Veranstaltung. Spaeter waren wir dann zumm essen bei meinen Schwiegereltern, wo auch Lettie's Schwester Catherine war, Nicole war Catherines Schatten, sie folgte ihr wo immer sie hin ging (da sie ihre tante sehr liebt). Wir hatten eine kleine Talen show, die Kinder haben getanzt und spaeter haben wir alle gesungen und Mom hat Klavier dazu gespielt.

Sylvester hatten wir geplant zum Deutschen Klub zu gehen, wir waren auch dort und hatten gut gegessen und gefeiert als wir gegen 23 Uhr eine Nachricht bekamen das Mutter gefallen ist. Nicole war an diesem Abend bei meinen Schwiegereltern und meiner Schwaegerin (die die Feiertage dort verbrachte) und sollte ueber Nacht bleiben. Da Lettie und ich aber mit Mom in der Notaufnahme waren von 23-1 Uhr nachts und meine Schwaegerin leicht ueberlastet war mit der Situation, haben wir dann Nicole um 1 uhr Nachts mit nach hause genommen, sie war sehr traurig darueber das sie nicht weiter dort schlafen konnte.

Santa at the mall and at the German Canadian Club. We went again to the German Canadian Club where santa brought gifts to the kids. We ha Tara and Myles with us and Bee and Matijas and their kids, we sang German songs and had good coffee and cookies.

Like every year we went to the Lutheran Church (we was Nicole and me), for the German Christmas carols singing. 16 songs and than coffee and cookies, I love to go there, and it brings German tradition to Nicole.

Erica had a crazy week, as she had "Rock-show" with her school and "Nutcracker" with her Ballet in the same week. All together I think 7 shows. At Rock show they had songs from ABBA and KISS and some newer stuff. 

We where sick again for quite a while, cold and coughing for Lettie and me and Nicole had one day of permanent throwing up only Erica stayed out of this trouble.

PJ day at Montessori, Nicole went in her PJs to scchool and that same day also to the Uof L. The University had a kids event called Kindermusik, where kids 3-7 years off age could play and dance and have fun for 3 hours while the parenst could do the last X-mas shopping or wrap presents. Well we went to Pop's for a snack and drinks, and later Letie went to choir practice as she is in the Church quire for the Christmas season.

Skiing with the kids, I went with them on Dec. 23 to my first Ski day this season. Erica went to Ski school, 2 x 2 hours, should have been a group but as nobody signed up she had a private lesson with Martin from Spain (Madrid) for the price of a group lesson (Yeah). Nicole came with me on the "leash", it was the first time that we tried that and it went fantastic. We even went for the first time in her life on a run which was not on the Bunny hill, nd she did awesome, she even was singing "Rudolph the red nose Rendeer" as we played she was my Reendeer on the leash and I was Santa.

We had our Christmas with the kids on the 24th. that was the best time as we four where together, that same day we also went to Mom and Dad for dinner and later to Doris and Andre who had a little Party at their house. On the 25th. Lettie and Erica delivered meals on wheels as every year and later we went over for Roast dinner with auntie Catherine at Mom and Dad's house. We had a little talent show at their house and we sang some songs while Mom played the Piano.

New years we ended up in the ER, as my mother in law felt at home and banged her head badly so that she needed some staples. So we had to leave our new years eve party at 11pm and went to the ER where we stayed till 1pm (so we had new years there!), than at 1pm we drove her home and took Nicole with us who normally should have stayed there over night, but because of the situation we decided to take her home.

Kuerbis Fest in unserem Garten - Wir hatten am 1. November wieder einmal ein paar Nachbarn bei uns im Garten mit ihren geschnitzten Kuerbissen. Wir hatten ein Lagerfeuer, heisse Schokolade Kaffee und Snacks, und die Kuerbisse im Garten verteilt mit Kerzen zum beleuchten. Dieser event kommt echt gut an und wir werden es 2013 wieder machen.

Zweiter heftiger Schneefall diesen Winter - Nachdem der Schnee vom ersten heftigen Schneefall mitte Oktober komplett weg war bekamen wir den zweiten heftigeren Winter Sturm, 40 cm Schnee in 2 tagen und bis -26 Grad (gefuehlte -33). Nun mitte November haben wir wieder Temperaturen von plus 2 - 4 Grad und jede menge Sulzschnee, ahhhh.

Wanderclu President - Nun ist es offiziell, ich bin fuer 2013 der gewaehlte President des COC (Chinook outdoor Club) Lethbridge. Der Club besteht seit mehr als 40 Jahren.

Schwiegervaters Mini Cooper - Wir verkaufen fuer meinen Schwiegervater seinen Mini, da er seinen Fuererschein abgegeben hat und kein Auto mehr braucht.

Here I am rock you like a Hurricane - 2 x mal waren wir diesen Monat bei einem Hockey game der Lethbridge Hurricanes.Einmal gewonnen, einmal veloren, aber immer ein netter event. Ich hatte beided mal frei Karten von meinem Arbeitgeber.

Thanksgiving - Am 22/11/12 habe ich endlich meinen Feiertag, da ich ja die US Feiertage habe. Und der Freitag (Black Friday) ist nur ein halber Arbeitstag, also laaanges Wochenende.

Partys - Wir hatten zwei Feiern an dem letzten November Wochenende. Einmal mit unseren Nachbarn, deren Kindern mit unseren befreundet sind. Und einmal mit Jamie und Sascha die eine Party bei sich hatten mit Freunden und Kollegen. Die Kinder hatten beides male Spass und besondes Nicole war schwer nach Hause zu bekommen (Party Loewe).

Sunlife Party - Die FirmenWeihnachtsfeier war am letzten tag im November, es gab Preise zu gewinnen (ich habe einen $25 Gutschein fuer "Guesthouse" gewonnen) es gab gutes essen und Musik.

Pumpkin Fest in our backyard -We invited our neighbors again for a Pumpkin festival at our backyard. Everybody brought a carved pumpkin and some snacks, and we provided hot chocolate donuts and coffee.

Second heavy snowstorm this season - and again the winter hit us hart, tons of snow temperatures with minus 27 and feels like minus 33. But the next day plus 3 and 4 days later nearly all is gone again, crazy southern Alberta and especially crazy Chinook area.

COC Hiking Club President - Now its official, I am a President and Lettie my first Lady.The Chinook outdoor Club elected me at the November meeting and so I will be their Chairman President or what ever you want to call it, in 2013.

Selling Dad's car - Dad had to give up driving, so we now try to sell his Mini Cooper. The good thing is we have time, so we do not have to take the first offer and we can get the best deal for Mom and Dad.

Canes -Got Tickets for the "Canes" again, this time the good seats where they serve you food and drinks. Erica joined me, we had a great time even if the Hurricanes lost against the Calgary Hit-men.

Thanksgiving - I had the US thanksgiving, so I had a Thursday off and the Friday was only half a day, it was kind of a nice long weekend. I had some quiet time, and some great time with Nicole, sleeeeping in :-).

2 Party's -  we had a party at our neighbors house with the kids, good food - the kids had a great time, a couple beer we all had fun times.
A day later we went to Sascha and his wife for another Party, theme was "ugly sweater". Lots of good food, kids came too but I brought them home earlier.

Sunlife Party -  We had our X-mas Party on Nov. 30th, this year I won a $25 gift certificate for the "Guesthouse". We had good food and we danced a bit.
