Kitchen renovation - I had the first two weeks in June off to do the renovation . The first weekend we got an BFI bin a sledgehammer a crowbar and we got this old kitchen out. This kitchen was well built in and hard to get out but in less than two days we got it done and than the new cabinets from IKEA came in.

The second week of the renovation we get the electrician get stuff like the microwave or wall cabinets light hooked up. We get the linoleum in the counter top and the tiles so everything comes together.

Kuechen renovierung - ich hatte 2 Wochen Urlaub um dieses projekt zu vollenden, an dem ersten Wochenende hatten wir die alte Kueche mit einem dicken Hammer und  Eisenstange abgebaut, danach habe ich die IKEA Kueche aufgebaut. Die alte Kueche war wirklich gut verbaut, aber nach 2 tagen hatten wir alles raus. In der zweiten Wochen der renovirung kamen dann der Elektriker und die Leute die den neuen Boden im Haus (Badezimmer. kleines Bad, Flur Treppenhaus, Kueche) verlegt haben - ausserdem haben sie auch die Fliesen in der Kueche an die wand angebracht.

Father's Day at Nichole's school, the kids play Minigolf with their Dad's and have cookies at a special table and of course Nicole made me a cute card and wrote me something nice, so nice of her.

Vatertag and Nicole's Schule - die Kinder konnten Golf mit ihrem Papa spielen (eine Art selbst gebasteltes Mini Golf in der Schule) und es gab Kekse Saft und Kaffee. Ich habe auch eine handgeschriebene KArte bekommen von Nicole, soooo suess.

Day trip to IKEA to spend the $700 giftcard we had, Nicole came with us and we thought we can go to the Zoo but it rained very bad so we went back home with a stop at the Nanton Candy and Antique store. But we got most of the little things we need to give our kitchen the last finishing touch.

Tagesausflug nach IKEA wo wir $700 spenden konnten die wir bekommen haben da wir die Kueche in diner Aktionszeit bestellt hatten. Der geplante Ausflug in den Zoo musste leider wegen Regens ausfallen. Aber in Nanton haben wir zumindest den grossen Candy Laden besuchen koennen. 

Erica is practising for her finals at middle school and than after the summer she will be in high school. 

Nicole got an invitation on the June 22nd weekend for Amelie's  birthday party where they had areal donkey and a pony just  for the Party.

Erica war fleissig am lernen fuer ihre Abschluss Pruefungen auf der Mittel-Schule und nach dem Sommer wird sie auf die Hochschule gehen. Und Nicole war bei ihrer Freundin Amelie zum Geburtstag eingeladen wo die Kinder auf einem echten Esel reiten konnten.

Day trip with our dutch friends and their kids to Waterton. As they have never been at bears hump, we thought we go for a Sunday to Waterton. We just had a very nice day on the hike and later a nice lunch at Pizza of Waterton, further we visited the Prince of Wales Hotel and we got a tour with the old elevator and we could visit one of their rooms.

Tagesausflug mit unseren Hollaendischen Freunden nach Waterton. Da diese noch nicht auf den beras hump waren sind wir mit Nicole und die beiden mit ihren kleinen Kindern hoch auf den Bears-hump in Waterton gewandert. Wir hatten super Wetter und es war noch nicht einmal zu windig auf dem Aussichtsberg (wo es manchmal richtig blasen kann). Anschliessend haben wir nioch das Prince of wales Hotel besucht wo wir eine tour mit dem alten Fahrstuhl bekommen haben und uns ein Zimmer anschauen konnten.

Canada day long weekend, temperatures close to 30 so we decided to go one afternoon to the pool in Raymond which is a very nice pool. We also enjoyed our backyard that weekend and yes we feel that summer has come and those long cold winter days seems far away.

Langes Wochenende durch den Kanada tag der immer am 1 July ist da Kanada am 1 July 1867 gegruendet wurde. Wir haben an einem der endlich heissen Sommertage das Freibad in der Gemeinde Raymond besucht und den anderen Tag haben wir in unserem Garten vebracht. Endlich fuehlt es sich wie Sommer an, darauf haben wir so lange gewartet hier.
