Erica plays Mrs. Potts at the school play in the beauty and the beast, we where all thrilled with her performance. And she had her voice class performance with two pieces which she sang at the new art gallery in Lethbridge. We are all very proud of her.

Erica spielte Mrs. Potts in der Schulauffuehrung von "Die schoene und das Biest" und hatte spaeter im Monat noch einen Auftriit durch ihren Gesangs Unterricht wo sie 2 Stuecke solo sang, wir sind alle sehr stolz auf sie.

Lettie is gone for a week and Nicole and me as we'll as Erica for the first three days have to survive without mom.

On the very first day when Lettie was gone Nicole and I went on a day trip to Waterton. It's her first trip this season to Waterton I have been there in February with Lettie already. The weather could not be better, sun no wind at all and also not to hot a perfect day. We go up bears hump and the view is just breath taking what a great little hike. We arrived late because Lettie has been with the kids at the Ballet in Lethbridge so we where at 3 pm at the Park, but it was still a great time, we have been at the playground and the red rock canyon road as well of course. On the way back we stopped at Swiss Chalet.

Lettie ist fuer eine Woche nicht da und Erica (die die ertsen 3 tage bei uns ist) Nicole und ich muessen ohne Mama zurecht kommen. Nicole und ich fahren fuer einen Nachmittag  nach Waterton wo wir auf den "Baren Buckel" gehen, von dort hat man einen grandiosen Blick auf die Rockies, es ist sogar noch Schnee hier oben. Wir haben eine tolle Zeit im Park.

The week without Lettie - Erica stayed with us from Sunday to Wednesday. I made "amazing breakfasts" for the kids just to spoil them a bit :-) and Than I dropped Nicole of at 8:15 am, she always looked at the window at her school when I left to wave to me, so cute.
We did a couple things that week like going swimming or watching a movie at home with having popcorn.

In der Woche womich beide Kinder hatte wahrend Lettie weg war habe ich morgens immer gross Fruehstueck gemach, nur um die Kinder ein wenig zu verwoehnen :-) In der Vorschule wo Nicole um 8:15 sein musste, sie hat mir jedes mal am fenster gewunken wenn ich sie abgesetzt habe. In der Woche waren wir dann schwimmen oder haben zuhaus einen Film geschaut, mit frischem Popcorn.

Hot spring weekend with temperatures around 30 and that in May. And than Lettie is gone again (after being home for 4 days), this time  to Toronto for a week to be on a conference and to see family.
That is the weekend when I went to Waterton for the weekend with Nicole and we stayed at the Bed and Breakfast at Mountain view for two nights. The weekend was colder and wetter than we thought but the sun came thru a bit and we had the right weather gear and enjoyed the time we had. We did a couple nice things like going to see the snow at Cameron lake or the Buffalos at the Paddock but Nicole  freak out when they came to close to the car. We also saw a bear close to our car, a young one so we had to check for the Mom but she wasn't visible. We had fun at the Pool in Waterton or the Playground we had tons of ice cream eat at Zum's or just enjoyed an relaxing evening at the Bed and Breakfast so all over all we had a great time and I could bring the nature to Nicole she is a mountain girl.
The Sunday we cam back we invited us for Pizza at Mom and Dad, they are so thankful for some visits. And of course Nicole loves to be with Oma and Opa.

Heisses Fruehlings Wochenende mit Temperaturen um die 30 Grad. Lettie war gerade mal 4 Tage Zuhause bevor sie und Erica nach Toronto geflogen sind. Lettie hatte eine Konferenze und war dann mit ihren Schwestern in deren Ferienhaus, wo Erica vom ertsen Tag an war. beide hatten eine schoene Zeit dort.
An diesem Wochenende fahren Nicole und ich fuer 2 Naechte in eine Fruehstuecks Pension nach Mtn.view bei Waterton. Wir fuhren zur "Roten Fels Schlucht" und zum Cameron See, wo wir auf der fahrt auch den ersten Baeren der Saison gesehen haben. Ausserdem haben wir uns die Bueffel im Park aus der Naehe angeschaut, Nicole hatte allerdings riesige Angst die Bueffel so nahe am Auto zu sehen.
Am Sonntag als wir zurueck kommen holen wir Pizza und laden Oma und Opa zum essen ein.

Victoria day was just a normal working day for me, and Nicole stayed with the Navratil's as Montessori was closed of course. And than a normal working day as well a day later when I had my birthday.
We had a nice dinner in the backyard and the family gave me some very nice presents.

Der Victoria Feiertag war fuer mich ein normaler Arbeitstag, da Lettie noch nicht zurueck war von Toronto, ist Nicole bei den Nachbarn und ihren Kindern geblieben fuer den Tag. Der naechste Tag war mein Geburtstag und wir haben im Garten gegrillt.

First hike of the season with the Club at Koyo hill which is around Beaver Mines, it was just an amazing day whith so many flowers and great views.

Die ertste Wanderung des Jahres hat mich un den Club zum Koyo Berg gebracht, in dem schoenen Vorgebirge bei Beaver Mines. Die Blumen waren in voller Pracht und wir hatten eine tolle Aussicht auf die Berge.

Kitchen reno last week of May I start to assemble the first cabinets and we bring everything downstairs in our second smaller kitchen where we also have a dining area as we will have to use this for the next two weeks.

Kuechen Renovierung startet in der letzten Woche im Mai. Ich baue die ersten Schraenke zusammen und wir bringen alles runter in unsere zweite, etwas kleinere Kueche, wo wir auch eine Essecke habe. Die naechsten zwei Wochen werden wir hier unten Essen.
