Beginn des 7. Jahres der Newsletter

Ski the season comes to an end very soon, but I had another great Ski day at castle with Jason and Dan. It was demo day and I could try some nice "fat" skies and try them on the deeper snow fields and the black runs F U N. Feeling so much better now to ski between the trees compared with 2 or 3 years ago whwn I not really enjoyed it.

Die Ski Saison wird bald enden, aber ich hatte noch einmal einen schoenen Tag mit Jason und Dan. Ski Castl hatte seine Demo days, wo man brandneue Ski umsonst testen kann. So bin ich dann mit "fat" (breiten) Ski durch tiefen Schnee ueber steile Haenge oder durch Waelder gefahren, hat riesen Spass gemacht. 

We got sick, especially Nicole and Lettie, they got this very dry cough and Lettie got also a pitched nerve which gave her a lot of pain. Nicole had a puffer to help her with the cough and Lettie pitched nerve was better after 2 days.

Wir alle waren krank, besonders Nicole und Lettie hatten einen harten Husten, Lettie dazu noch einen eingklemmten Nerv. Lettie ging es mit ihrem Ruecken dann aber schnell wieder besser.

My Dad would have turned 75 this month, so we all thought about him on March 12th. I know he was with us that day.

Mein Vater waere 75 geworden diesen Monat, so haben wir im alle gedacht am 12. Maerz und ich weiss das er mit uns war an diesem Tag.

Erica practice for Mrs. Potts at the school play (the beauty and the beats)so she is practicing a lot and of course also for the Ballet where she has a role. She is made for the "stage".

Erica ist kraeftig am ueben fuer ihre Auffuehrungen mit der Schule (Beauty and the Beast) wo sie die Rolle der Mrs. Potts spielt, sowie fuer die Ballet Auffuehrung die beide im gleichen Zeitraum stattfinden.

New windows, yes the first step of our big renovation is done. We got the balcony door the kitchen windows and Nicole's window replaced and we love that we cab actually easily open the windows now! Now we are trying to get the Kitchen delivered to our house. Which costs only $400, which we easily would spend on a truck and gas anyways, but so we are having less trouble and we get 15% in IKEA Vouchers if we buy before march the 25th.

Endlich haben wir den ersten Schritt der renovierung hinter uns, wir haben neue Fenster in der Kueche / Nicole's Zimmer und eine neue Balkon Tuer. Der naechste Schritt ist da wir die IKEA Kueche geliefert bekommen, das machen wir jetzt da IKEA gerade einen besonderen Deal har und man 15-20% in Gutscheinen vom Geamtwert der Kueche bekommt wenn man bis Maerz 25 bestellt.

Dinner at Bee and Matijas,we went to our friends for a lovely Dutch/Indonesian dinner. Peter came to and the kids could play together. We had a great time and some nice conversation.

Bei unseren Hollaendischen Freunden waren wir zum Abendessen eingeladen,es gab Hollaendisch/Indonesische Kueche. Mein Freund Peter kam auch. Die Kinder spielten und die Erwachsenen hatte gute Gespraeche.

Nicole and Erica are now inviting kids for her Party's. Nicole sometimes uses this as a weapon, when she say "you are not coming to my Party", she says this mostly if things are not going her what - she might forget that especially when she says it to us, that we pay her PARTY :-))

Nicole und Erica senden ihre Einladungen fuer ihre Geburtstags Partys raus. Nicole benutzt das manchmal als "Waffe" wenn sie nicht bekommt was sie will sagt sie "you are not coming to my Party" (Du kommst nicht zu meiner Party), dabei vergisst sie wer die Party bezahlt. :-)

We had a little Mexican surprise meal party when Erica came for switch night which she really appreciate. On her Birthday herself she will be with her Dad and have a Party there. Can't believe she is turning 14.

Wir hatten fuer Erica eine kleine Familien Uebrraschungs Party, Mexican Theme, und sie war wirklich Ueberrascht. An ihrem eigentlichen Geburtstag war sie bei ihrem Vater. Kann kaum glauben das sie schon 14 ist.

Another day of skiing, maybe Nicole's last day of the season (unless I go on the last weekend Castle is open April 7th.). She just did a huge improvement this season, from going on the leash on now going ion the rope on the beginners hill, pulling herself up and leaving the rope than come down the hill and do it again and again. What a nice gift to watch, so proud of her. She really loves to ski.

Der wahrscheinlich letzte Tag Ski fahren fuer Nicole, falls ich nicht noch am letzten Wochenende mit ihr fahren gehe. Sie hat sich so stark verbessert, am Anfang war sie an der Leine und fuhr schon recht gut. Nun ist sie am Anfaenger Huegel und laesst sich vom Kinderlift hochziehen und faehrt dann selber runter. Es ist so toll ihr dabei zuschauen zu koennen.Sie liebt Ski fahren.

Wir haben den 1994 Buick Century meiner Schwiegermutter verkauft, 114.900 km und wir bekamen $975, wie ich denke einen gerechten Preis.

Spring and Easter, the Easterweekend is a very sunny warm (15 degree and more) long weekend. We enjoy to be outside and I did some first Spring clean up outside. And we could do the Easter egg hunt in and outside which was so much fun. And we had a visit with John and Maria for dinner at their house, and Nicole could (after a couple cancelations because of sickness or the weather) have her play date with Amelie.

Das Osterwochenende ist ein schoenes warmes Wochenende mit ca. 15 Grad und plus. Ich habe schon die ersten Fruehlingsarbeiten im Garten erledigen koennen. Und wir konnten drinnen und draussen nach Ostereiern suchen, dass war so klasse. Ausserdem konneten wir nun endlich einmal unsere Freunde John und Maria und deren Tochter Amelie besuchen, nachdem wir einigemale vorher wegen Wetter oder Krankheit absagen musste.
