I had a couple days off before I had to go back to work on 4 January Lettie Erica and Nicole had to go back to school on 9 January. Weather wise we had a lot of snow and very very cold temperatures into the mid -30 with the windchill. We got our kitchen Order in with IKEA. We also talked to a contractor who will start in march to get the renovation done for our income suite downstairs. But the renovation downstairs will not start before mid-March and it's a be all finished by June so that we can get a tenant in after the summer. Our cousin Stefan and his girlfriend Julia confirmed that they will come in August to stay with us for a week before they go to visit friends in Ontario. And even if I said I would not visit the US in the next 4 years (and God help us) or  8, Lettie and I will visit Vegas for 4 days in   February as it is our 10th wedding anniversary. We will stay at the Excalibur, and for one day we will go to the Grand Canyon. Nicole could try out the Skateboard the first after the Chinook got the snow of the sidewalk, she wanted the Skateboard for Xmas. And Erica was in Examen Stress till the 3rd week in January. She had her friends coming over a few times, after they learned together. And since the first week in January Erica is in a relationship with her first boyfriend, his name is Matt and we met him  a couple times. He is very nice and they are very nice looking young couple.

Ich hatte ein paar Tage frei bevor ich am 4. Januar wieder arbeiten musste, Lettie und die Kinder gingen zurück zur Schule beziehungsweise Arbeit am 9. Januar. Wir hatten ein paar sehr kalte Tage mit über -30° im Windfaktor, und wir hatten Anfang bis Mitte Januar relativ viel Schnee. Wir werden dieses Jahr einen Teil des Basements in einer Einliegerwohnung renovieren. Der erste Schritt ist dass wir eine Küche bei IKEA bestellt haben und diese im März geliefert wird. Das ist dann auch der Zeitpunkt wo eine Zwischenwand gezogen wird und wir das Badezimmer unten renovieren so dass wir für September einen Mieter haben können. Unser cousin Stefan und seine Freundin Julia werden uns im August für eine Woche besuchen, das steht nun fest und wir freuen uns sehr darauf. Und Lettie und ich werden zu unserem zehnten Hochzeitstag ein paar Tage nach Las Vegas fliegen, eigentlich wollte ich nicht in die USA so lange Trump Präsident ist. Aber wir freuen uns auf etwas Sonne und auf unsere Jubiläumsreise, wo wir dann auch einen Tag zum Grant Canyon fahren werden. Danach werde ich dann für vier Jahre oder was ich nicht hoffe acht Jahre nicht mehr die USA besuchen solange Trump Präsident ist. Nicole konnte im Januar sogar ihr Skateboard fahren welches sie zu Weihnachten bekommen hatte, ein paar schneefreie Seiten Wege reichten völlig aus.

Erica war im Examen Stress, und konnte sich dann erst ab Mitte Januar etwas mehr relaxen. Nun darf ich es ja auch offiziell mitteilen dass Erica seit Anfang Januar einen Freund hat, die beiden sind ein echt nettes Pärchen.
