Waterton part I

Hike to table Mountain - I had my (only) second hike with the COC. Randy (a member) took us 12 that day on a hike to table mountain in the Beaver Mines area. What a gorgeous day, no wind (which is very unique for table mountain) and sun, but not to hot. And that view from the peak just breath taking especially the drop down, I would say it went down a few hundred meters straight down from the edge.

Wanderung zum Table Mountain, das war erst meine 2. Wanderung mit dem Klub dieses Jahr. In einer Gruppe von 12 Leuten sind wir in ca. 4 Stunden hoch auf das Plateau , welches auf 2250 m. liegt und einen eindrucksvollen drop down hat von mehreren 100 metern.Es war einfach ein schoener sonniger Wandertag.

Party at Koko's - on the 14th. I went with the kids to Koko and Rainers party in Nobelford, we had a lot of fun good food and the kids enjoyed to play the and be out in the backyard.

Koko und rainer hatten eine gartenparty wo ich mit den Kindrn hingegangen bin. Wir hatten gutes essen und eine menge Spass, auch die Kinder haben es sehr genossen.

Funeral at the Galt Museum - Myles (Nicole's friend) Grandmother died and we went to a "ceremony of life" to the Galt Museum in Lethbridge, it was a very nice ceremony and at the end a native tribe performed a
pow wow with 4 songs.

Die Mutter von Lettie's Kollegin ist gestorben, sie war die Grossmutter von Nicole's bestem Freund Myles. In einem Museum mit grandioser Aussicht auf die Huegel in Lethbridge fand die "Zeremonie des Lebens statt".
Es war eine nette zusammenkunft on Freunden und Familie und am ende haben ein paar Ur-Einwohner noch 4 Lieder (Pow wow) gesungen, das ist diser singsang mit trommel der recht nett anzuhoeren ist.

Slide show Nepal - I could show my photos to the COC members on the monthly meeting. The photos I showed where from the Nepal-Khumbu trekking in 2004, and my presentation was a big success.

Meine Dia show fuer den Wanderclub war ein grosser Erfolg. Ich habe Photos von meiner 2004 Nepal Reise ins Khumbu Gebiet gezeigt.

Waterton part I -  Lettie employer had his employees and family's for 2 nights in Waterton. While the employees had a meeting that Saturday we (the family's) could do what ever we wanted. So I took the kids on a walk along the lake, we went to the pool and went out for lunch with our dutch friends bee and Mattijas who had family over from Holland to visit (we had lunch at Zum's). Later that day we had all dinner together at the united church building where Teamwork's had their meeting. Lettie and I also visited the old movie theater with Lisa and Ryan for some live music before going back to our hotel and kids.
Sunday Erica had 2 hours of horseback riding while Lettie Nicole and I relaxed in the Hotel.

Waterton Teil I - Lettie's Firma hatte ein Wochenend meeting in Waterton National Park und Familien Mitglieder konnten mitkommen. So konnten wir 2 Naechte in Waterton sein, waehrend Lettie und ihre Kollegen ihr meeting am Samstag hatten, konnten ich und die Kinder den Tag mit einer Wanderung endlang des Sees geniessen und zum lunch haben wir uns mit unseren Hollaendischen Freunden Bee und Mattijas getroffen die Familie aus Holland zu besuch hatten. Mit Lettie und ihren Kollegen hatten wir dann spaeter zusammen dinner in dem Kirchensaal den ihre Firma fuer die Konferenz gemietet hatte. Danach sind Letie und ich noch mit 2 Kollegen in das alte Kino gegangen wo sich jetzt ein mexican Pub befindet und wo es eine Buehne gibt auf der eine Band diesen Samstag gespielt hat.

Another weekend in Waterton we ( without Erica) enjoyed a last time this season the Park. We stayed at Crandell Lodge and even if windy and rainy we made the best out of it and we went to the pool we skipped rocks at the beach went out for a night walk and hot chocolate and even saw a bear the day we came to the Park..

Ein weiteres Wochenende in Waterton wir waren (ohne Erica) ein letztes mal diese Saison in Waterton. Wir hatten ein Appartment in der Crandell Lodge und selbst wenn es windig und etwas verregnet war haben wir das beste aus dem Wochenende gemacht. Wir waren am Wasser und haben Steine uebers Wasser springen lassen, wir sind ins Schwimmbad gegangen und haben eine Nachtwanderung gemacht mit einer anschliessenden heissen Schokolade, und am dem Tag wo wir in den Park gekommen sind haben wir sogar einen Baeren gesehen.
